Perfil neuropsicológico de paciente con lesión frontoparietal por meningioma atípico grado II recidivante

Resumo

El objetivo del presente estudio fue describir el perfil neuropsicológico de una paciente de 54 años con cuadro clínico de 5 años de evolución por lesión frontoparietal debido a meningioma atípico grado II-recidivante. Se llevó a cabo un estudio corte descriptivo, transversal, mediante un diseño de caso único, en el que se evaluó el componente cognitivo, afectivo y funcional de la paciente. Los resultados evidenciaron un perfil con características disejecutivas por déficits en la memoria de trabajo auditiva, la fluidez verbal y gráfica, la atención, la velocidad de procesamiento y tiempos de respuesta más prolongados por un sobreesfuerzo en la inhibición; asimismo, se identificaron demoras y dificultades en el reconocimiento táctil y compromiso en tareas de praxias visoconstruccionales. Las fortalezas del perfil se centraron en abstracción, planeación, flexibilidad cognitiva y resolución de problemas. Este estudio pone de manifiesto la importancia de profundizar el análisis de las implicaciones de la neoplasia a nivel cognitivo, emocional, y funcional.
